The funny man himself had some interesting things to say in this video that was shown before the Palm keynote at D7 today. The Palm Pre apparently has a ton of capabilities that only Roger is aware of. Who knew?

Palm Pre default Ringtone graces our ears

I have to say it sounds quite pretty, and is much better than the iPhone’s Marimba ringtone. Roger Bourland was commissioned to write the 8 new ringtones for the Palm Pre, including this one (hit up the link to hear it).

Pre Central is getting word from a tipster with a webOS emulator that the Pre is going to support IMAP IDLE. This means that users on GMail will have near instantaneous reception of new emails. That’s right, it’s getting pushed down to the phone from the GMail servers.
