Palm have thrown open the doors to their webOS SDK, making the Palm Mojo beta available to anybody with a valid email address. According to the company’s official blog, the submissions process for the App Catalog will open to all developers this fall.

Palm are tipped to be preparing webOS 1.1, the first significant upgrade to the Pre’s software platform, for release within a month. Palm have announced that the GSM version of the Palm Pre will be exclusively available on O2 in the UK, Ireland and Germany, and Movistar in Spain. The smartphone will apparently be hitting shelves “in time for the [Christmas] holidays.”

Palm’s Spanish arm have have unveiled the first official image of the GSM Palm Pre, complete with tiny HSDPA icon. The phone is confirmed to be an exclusive to carrier Movistar, the network owned by Telefonica who also own O2 in the UK.
