The Covertec Luxury Leather Flip Case for the Palm Pre is a solid combination of a leather flip case and a hard snap case, providing protection and class in a single package. Inside is the bottom half of a snap case, serving as a mounting point for the Pre, while the outside is wrapped in soft fine grain leather with tastefully contrasting stitching. This flip case strikes a balance between protection and style that few cases have, but it is not without its faults.
There’s something to be said for quality materials like those in the Prima Leather Pouch Case. There’s also something to be said for the case being the correct size. Unfortunately, only the former can be applied to the Prima Lateral Pouch Case as with regards to the Palm Pre. The case is made of rather nice leather with cleanly stitched and sealed edges, but it’s simply too large for the Palm Pre, unless you like having an extra half inch of space for the phone to slide around. Clearly, this case is designed for a phone much larger than the Pre, as evidenced by the extra space and elastic expansion joints on either end. Altogether it’s a nice case, it’s just not the right case.
The Palm Leather Side Case is the de-facto case for many Palm Pre users, but is de-facto a little deficient? The case is made of high quality leather on the outside while soft microfiber lining is placed inside for full screen protection. The case offers a slim design which is used to keep the original Pre concept of stream-lined in mind. The belt clip is snug and there is a ribbon that is used to help pull the device out of the case.

Like it’s vertical cousin the Top Pouch, the Side Pouch is a rather standard-fare magnetic closure hip case, though in this case it is arranged in the horizontal orientation.
The Side Pouch was designed specifically for the Pre, so the fit is snug without being too tight. And like most SPE products, the Side Pouch is solidly constructed with care taken to wrap all leather edges under themselves before stitching the whole thing together.

Unlike many others out there, this one is specifically designed with the Palm Pre in mind, so you can expect it to be a good fit for the phone. Like most SPE products, the leather Top Pouch for Palm Pre is quite sturdily constructed; they’ve taken great care to not have any exposed leather edges – the leather is instead wrapped inside between the outer and inner layers and then stitched. It’s details like this that point to the attention-to-detail we’ve come to expect from SPE products.
