Palm’s Eos has been the surprise leak of the day, with details about the rumored smartphone spilling out across the net. Although the handset is nowhere near official, there’s enough detail to at least compare and contrast the Eos with the Pre. It seems clear that the Eos is aiming to take the spot currently [...]

After the blurry shot of the second Palm webOS device earlier today, now we have a far better look at the QWERTY handset. Apparently called the Palm Eos, the device will be a quadband GSM/HSDPA smartphone measuring just 10.6mm thick and with a 2.63-inch 320 x 400 capacitive touchscreen.
The Palm Eos will have half the [...]
Rumors, mini-pre

TechCrunch claims to hear from one of their sources that Palm is already getting ready to launch another webOS device:
One of our better sources indicated to us that Palm is “very far along” on a second Pre-like device and currently has plans to put it on the market in the late part of 2009, possibly as early as the Fall.
The device is apparently meant to aim at another segment of the market not covered by the Pre, but it’s possible that this device will not have a physical keyboard. The only other corroborating evidence we can conjure up is that Palm recently changed the gesture behaviour of the Pre. The "full swipe up" gesture now opens Card view first before opening up the launcher. The reasoning we’ve heard behind this: it allows Palm more flexibility for future devices, since they may someday want to have a webOS-based device that does not have a center button, they needed the Up-Swipe gesture to mimic the effects of it.
We’ve heard yet more crazy rumors ourselves that Palm has "one more thing" webOS-related in store for us that hasn’t been revealed yet. We assumed that, if true, it would be Pre-related. Perhaps not?
Update: BGR posts the fuzzy pic at right, suggesting a candy-bar form factor and Centro-inspired styling. Perhaps Palm is developing different form factors for different carriers?

Things are getting mighty confusing in Palm rumor land, as a small, blurry image that the Boy Genius swears blind is legitimate suggests that the second webOS device will be a QWERTY candybar. The image came with no proposed specifications, only the expectation that it would be released in the fall.
According to earlier rumors, Palm [...]

Tired of waiting for the Pre to come out? Well, we’ll have to disappoint you, if you’ve been looking for yet another possible release date. Instead, there’s a rumor about something, which is actually much cooler, in our opinion. It is said that a phone, similar to the Pre, has been under development by Palm [...]

According to the latest rumors, Palm isn’t relying solely on the Pre to turn their fortunes around. The company is said to have a smaller handset, still running webOS, “very far along” in development, that is set to reach the market in late 2009, potentially as early as the fall.
The news came from one of [...]
